Among the domain names Purdy has registered are love mcdonalds.com and washingtonposthealth.com. Thomas Olson, attorney for the plaintiffs, said that the Washington Post has a daily health section and that there's no alert on Purdy's site that it displays material such as fetuses.
Olson told Montgomery, "He [Purdy] is scoffing at this court, this rule of law."
The Coca-Cola Co.; McDonald's Corp.; PepsiCo Inc.; the Washington Post Co., and Washington Post.Newsweek Interactive Co. sued Purdy in July.
Later that month, Montgomery ordered him to stop using the well-known names to promote his views. She said his use of the names is likely to confuse the public, damage the corporations' good names and divert Internet users from their intended online destinations.
